Central Ohio Non-Profits Benefit From Community Care Day

On September 18th over 4,900 volunteers worked 34,500 hours at more than 300 project sites for United Way's Community Care Day. Volunteers from The Pizzuti Company and United Way of Central Ohio chose to volunteer here at Columbus Literacy Council. They helped students in Basic Literacy and ESOL classes, worked with the Student Services Coordinator to organize student files, and assisted our Media Center Coordinator by organizing materials and cleaning the library and computer lab.

CLC appreciates the efforts of United Way and the sponsors of Community Care Day for organizing this event and thank employees from The Pizzuti Company and United Way of Central Ohio and everyone else who participated in helping to make a difference in our community.
